= State of the Art Research (SOTA) (Oscilloscope)
In order to gain an overview of the actual market situation of semi-professional measurement equipment, a state-of-the-art research was performed.
The results of this analysis should provide some basic knowledge of how measurement devices are implemented.
Those devices, for example a Universal Serial Bus (USB)-connected oscilloscope, are significantly cheaper and smaller than professional equipment.
In general they need some external hardware, like a Personal Computer (PC), to output the measurement results.
Only a few of them features a built-in display.
